It occurred to Nicole, whilst we were trying to write a story together (turned out horrible, thanks for asking!) that if we wrote things often enough that were of interesting nature we could start a Blog. Only what to call it? So Chris was included in our deluded efforts to produce entertaining material on a regular basis (he still doesn't actually know yet...). And by doing so we could just call the thing Jasmine Cottage (or "The Astounding Achievements of Jasmine Cottage" apparently), for that moniker is what a simple wooden plaque, situated at the front end of the houseflat we live in, so boldly pronounces to be title of the flathouse. The decision to create this creative out let was made scant few days ago, thinking we had time to procure a digital camera and other such device to fully deliver to you, the reader(s), what we, the author(s), had to deliver. But lo! it was foist upon me so soon. One day you may yet see the bold Plaque of Naming, but it is not this day.
At least I was able to secure the honour of first post (after a brief scuffle), because it meant I got to tell the tale of the genesis of this outlandish concept and didn't actually have to come up with a new and interesting idea to actually write about.
So welcome to this 'blog, potentially destined for great things and don't worry, I'm sure Nicole will be less irritatingly verbose and irritating.

PostScript: I have been informed that the next post, to be authored by none other than Nicole, will feature wee MS paintings of us each and also a small description about us. So she too, is milking content from the fact we started this thing and so won't have to think of new stuff to write about.
